Where we work
DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION IN EASTERN AFRICA
Fida has Country Programmes in Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. The main themes include strengthening human rights through peacebuilding and conflict prevention, employment creation, vocational training, inclusive education, agricultural development and food security and sexual and reproductive health and rights. The Country Programmes reach more than 3,3 million people.
DEVELOPMENT COOPERATION IN THE MIDDLE EAST
Fida’s Country Programmes in Iraq and Syria impact the lives of more than 250 000 people. The main themes are primary education, peacebuilding and conflict prevention, promotion of mental health, psychosocial support and promoting the rights of people with disabilities. Economic security is promoted through training on entrepreneurship skills.
